At a time when access to creative tools is still limited in many contexts, Draw Together creates a direct and simple way to open up space for expression through technology.
The installation allows anyone to draw on a digital table and immediately see their work projected onto a large wall. As more people participate, the drawings build up into a constantly changing collective image.
The tables are easy to use, designed for different ages, and built to handle continuous use. The digital pens are adapted for better grip and are fixed to the furniture, ensuring durability and accessibility.
The installation will open on August 25, 2026, in Baltimore at The Walters Art Museum.
During its presentation in Baltimore, the focus is not only on public participation, but also on observing how people engage with the system—how long they stay, how they draw, and how they react to seeing their work displayed alongside others.
These observations directly inform the next step: developing a version for Bissau. Rather than copying the model, the goal is to adapt it—lower costs, simplify the technology, and fit it to local spaces and everyday use.
The aim is practical: to create a place in Bissau where drawing does not depend on expensive materials or prior training, and where seeing your own work projected can become a real, shared experience.
